Title: Assistant Director
General responsibilities: Assist camp director in all facets of camp program.
Specific duties: Assist in supervision of counselors and campers, participate in weekly camp administration meetings; participate in liaison with parents as necessary; assist with administration of camper and counselor records.
Qualifications: College student or graduate; relevant experience working with youth; mature, conscientious, personable manner.
Title: Senior Counselor
Specific duties: Supervise the daily activities of the group. Take daily attendance of the group and report absences, any illness or injury to health director or to their supervisor. Escort the group to and from all activity areas and trips. Supervise small group of counselors and campers; act as a liaison between counselors and director and assistant director. Teach and supervise organized games, team sports, and free play. Conduct on-going evaluations of the assistant counselors and counselors-in-training.
Qualifications: Minimum 18 years of age, college student. Must have relevant experience working with children; mature, energetic, conscientious, and personable manner. The senior counselor must have 2 years experience in supervision of children. Must have the ability to conduct organized games, to teach and supervise campers, and schedule activities.
Moreover, the senior counselor must model the skills needed to work with children out-of-doors, a willingness to accept guidance, a sense of patience and self-control.
Title: Life Guard
Specific duties: Oversee all swimming activities that occur at local and state swimming pools. Supervise campers, and other required staff during swimming activities.
Qualifications: Minimum of 21years of age and 3 sessions of previous waterfront experience as a lifeguard or camp aquatics director. Hold an accepted and current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and be currently certified in responding to emergencies (RTE)
Specific duties: Growing Minds Of New York Inc. is seeking a highly creative and motivated Artist on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have excellent color and style skills. Candidates must love working with children, be self motivated, able to work independently, and have an optimistic attitude. In addition candidates
must have experience in creating community murals.
Qualifications: Require Bachelor’s degree and Minimum 1 year experience
Title: Web, Fashion & Jewellery Designer
Specific duties: Growing Minds Of New York Inc. is seeking a highly creative and motivated, Web, fashion, and Jewelry designers, on part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of PhotoShop, a fashion flair and be able to teach marketing, flat sketches, technical specs, illustrations & technical pattern making to adolescents.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion & Web Designing with a minimum of 1 year experience
